About "Lake Michigan: The Wisconsin Shore"
Photographer Lisa Lehmann was inspired to put this book together a few years ago after capturing a scene of white-tailed deer running through the shallow waters of Lake Michigan. As she met other photographers in the Sheboygan area, she came across wonderful images of life along the shore that should be shared with others. Like Sandy Barnick’s pictures taken while crewing on the tall ship Denis Sullivan as it made its way into the harbor at sunset. One photograph in particular spurred her to take action on the idea... a friend from the local camera club, Ron Klunk, mailed a photo to Lisa and when she saw "Spectacular Backlit Wave" she knew it was time to create a book specifically featuring the cities along the Wisconsin shore. A call for images was sent out to 20 local photographers. Many were submitted, and the ones you see in the book are the best and some of those are serendipitous, once-in-a-lifetime images! The photographers hope that seeing the pictures will bring your memories of the lake to life, and inspire you visit it more often. As a friend put it, "the book blends the beauty of the lake with respect of nature." Thank you for visiting!
